FILM HISTORY AS A LIST AWARDS 2011 – BEST USE OF MUSIC: THE SOCIAL NETWORK

Social Network dominates this award with two first place votes from Daniel Suddes and Matt Joseph, a second placed vote from Laurent Kelly and a third placed vote from Brek the David giving the film fourteen points in total – nine more than its nearest challenger.  The film’s dark and moody score was composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Reznor is of course the lead singer of the popular and influential rock band Nine Inch Nails and Ross has had an extremely versatile career which has seen him compose films, produce albums, remix singles and help write songs for major bands. The Social Network soundtrack has been critically acclaimed by a number of music publications.
