DARK KNIGHT RISES SET TO SHOOT IN APRIL 2011
The Dark Knight Rises, the much anticipated follow up to box office sensation The Dark Knight is rumoured to begin principal photography next April in New Orleans, Louisiana. Chicago will still be used as the location for Gotham City as it was for the two previous installments under the direction of Christopher Nolan. It has also been confirmed that The Riddler will not be making an appearance in the film as villain speculation becomes increasingly intense. Unfortunately it’s going to be a long wait for Bat Lovers as the film is not scheduled to hit theatres until July 20th, 2012.

OLDBOY REMAKE IS GATHERING STEAM
I didn’t warm to the original Japanese film though I understand that it earnt a popular stream of followers who will be very eager to see what happens when the film is remade. Remakes are so common these days that if an overseas film becomes succesful we now sort of take it for granted that it will be given the Hollwood treatment. Sometimes these adaptations are pretty good though its a shame that more original ideas aren’t being generated. Anyway enough ranting and onto the story in hand.
Variety are reporting that a script has been sent to Mandgate pictures and the film’s producers who seem quite enarmoured with the idea will most likely send the film in the direction of Steven Spielberg. Should the iconic director turn the project down the film could end up in the hands of either Danny Boyle or Matthew Vaughn.
